Visual Basic

One of the most widely using programs to develop small aplications that enhance your windows experience. Visual basic is probably once of the most widely spread development applications for newbies. I started developing vb in college since it was the only programming course the school usually had.

Since I knew I wont be recognize as a great programmer just by mastering vb and it wasnt really my first experience with codes either. I decided to enroll on visual programming II which basically was the second course of a two course series on visual basic programming.

As a challenge it wasnt that hard, however since my "no-book necessary-Policy". The challenge add a little more flavor, and I actually struggle a bit catching up with the rest of the group. however by the mid-months i was already ahead of the class except maybe for the geek of the class who has sacrifice his class to vb.

so here are some of the samples i got from that class, including super application that calculate the local time from other person in the world. So if i am chatting with a business partner in dubai or hong kong i will be able to translate the time to my local time in seconds.

Simple application

World clock sync

Ideal for people people that chat with people in other countries. The app will return your local time once you selected his country. Plus some really nice GUI thanks to the embending of Flash. A posible upgrade was getting a database to record your future appointments all on your local time even if it was setup abroad.
