Present state of the company

Eureka de Mexico changes to Eureka Interactiva and expands to different cities in Mexico. Mexico City, Guadalajara, Veracruz and Monterey are the main branches of Eureka Interactiva. Eureka Interactiva cut some of the previous services it offered and consolidate their present services, which are web-related services.

Opportunities

Eureka has to do some reengineering especially on the design of their websites to give more complex platforms. It also got to expand their business model to the management of databases such as Oracle and Unix servers to take a full advantage of their tech niche.

Experience

Eureka Interactiva gave me many experiences, one of them was the comparison to my past internship (see BBV). Eureka Interactiva is a small company with a more lay back and some how artistic mood. Employees are expected to create and match the design that customers expect.

There is no dress code and a relation between the personnel is much more casual than BBV. Even if the company didn't count with an international goal it gave me a look at small and medium companies and the entrepreneur these companies have. They also depend on other companies to support themselves like accounting firms to take care of their books.

Professionally I count with PC and design skills on software like PhotoShop, Windows Office, HTML, FrontPage and audio editing tools that were useful throughout my experience. However I was introduced to other design products such as Macromedia software. This software push my programming and overall skills.

I was able to give a side service to the organizational behavior of the company and give some management advice. A lack of communication with outside companies and a good task oriented policy to improve the overall performance.

Outcome

The experience on Eureka Interactiva was to some point more rewarding. I maintain some contact with Mr. Demonte and it gave me the ambition to enforce my web savvy and programming skills. Companies in the US struggle and rely on networks and need their employees to have the necessary skills to perform on this digital age.
