ColdFusion

Coldfusion is one of the languages with the lowest learning curve out there. it has html oriented coding style and it is also very powerful once used with other applications like flash and dreamweaver. created by allaire and later acquired by macromedia, coldfusion mx has a great oportunity for develop mid size websites that provide strenght to a .NET platform.

my experience with coldfusion goes back to version 4.5, currently developing under the latest mx version i find this version with a most robust platform and getting near to high production levels. it has an integration with the j2ee platform which can provide a competitive advantages over other platforms.

so far i havent developed a professional website under this technology due to the lack of support from the hosting providers. as a non-professional websites i have develop galleries, portfolios and address books. In the future I plan to work more tightly between the flash mx and the coldfusion mx shared components and get more into the flash communication server integration.

Currently I am particpating with the nycfug in new york. Which provides great reasources for all the coldfusion developers. From newbies to power users to developers that build their own tags and components through java and c++.
